BUFFALO, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher College men's soccer team fell to Buffalo State on Saturday, 4-0, in a non-conference bout at Coyer Field.  With the loss, Fisher moved to 0-6 on the year while the Bengals remained unbeaten at 6-0.

The home team got on the board early as the Bengals scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal in just the second minute.

The score would hold until the second half when Buffalo doubled its advantage with a goal in the 66th minute before adding another goal five minutes later to hold a three-goal edge.  With time running down, Buffalo State padded its lead with a goal in the 84th minute to pick up the non-conference decision.

In all, the Cardinals had two shots with Justin Bonetto and Jeff Meyers being credited with one apiece.

In goal, Aaron Smith was tagged with the loss after making eight saves over 90 minutes of play.

Fisher will continue its season at 4:30 p.m. next Saturday when it opens its Empire 8 schedule with Hartwick at home inside Growney Stadium.
