PITTSFORD, N.Y.– The No. 20 St. John Fisher College Cardinals remained perfect at home this season, with a shut-out of Alfred 21-0 at Growney Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. With their eighth consecutive victory, the Cardinals improve to 13-2 overall and 6-1 in the Empire 8, while the Saxons fall to 0-13 overall and 0-7 in the conference.
This is the second time this season that the Cardinals have surpassed the 20-goal mark in a game, with the last time coming on April 14
th in a 22-0 win at Sage.
The Cardinals quickly jumped out to a five-goal lead within the first five minutes after the opening whistle, with the help of two goals from
Morgan Young and two assists from
Kelsie Schindler.
Over the next five minutes, Fisher was able to put another five goals past the Alfred goalkeeper, which opened up a 10-0 lead at the 20:17 mark.
Olivia Marziale scored two of her four goals on the day, while
Mary Grace Doyle,
Jenna Lippert, and
Maria Hristodoulou also found the back of the net.
Hristodoulou notched her second of the game at the 16:10 mark, which was followed by goals from Doyle and
Casey Randall's first of her career to put the Cardinals ahead 13-0 heading into the halftime break.
No goals were scored by either side in the first six minutes of the second half, until
Allison Rupp scored back-to-back goals for her 12

thof the season.
At the 21:48 mark, Doyle notched her hat-trick goal, while Marziale followed suit pushing the Fisher lead to 18 goals midway through the second half. The Cardinals added three more goals before the final horn sounded, including one from
Sara Roman, helping the Cardinals win their eighth consecutive game dating back to March 31
st.
Morgan Hayes saw the first half action between the pipes for Fisher and was credited with her eighth victory of the season, while
Claudia Mocciaro took over in the second half and finished with two saves.
The Cardinals are right back in action on Wednesday, when they host the University of Rochester for a non-conference matchup under the lights at 7:30 p.m.
