The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team defeated the Highlanders of Houghton College 8-1 at home on Wednesday in an Empire 8 Matchup.
Fisher swept in doubles play, as first singles pair
Kevin Kulawiec and
Quinn Magiera beat their opponents 8-1. In the second spot was
Jacob Zarzycki and
Dustin McCullough who would win 8-4, while
Adam Moran and
Jonathan Harper won 8-3.
Kulawiec would go on to win 6-1, 7-5 in first singles, while in the second flight Magiera won 6-3, 6-3. At third singles,
John Miller defeated his opponent 6-3, 0-6, 10-3. In the fifth spot,
Jarrett Pelton won 3-6, 6-2, 10-7, while in the sixth spot was McCullough who defeated his opponent 6-3, 2-6, 10-8.
The Cardinals return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday when they take on Empire 8 rival Nazareth College.
