The St. John Fisher College men's tennis suffered a 9-0 loss on the road against Stevens Institute of Technology on Saturday. With the loss Fisher's record is now 1-7 on the season and 0-1 in the Empire 8 Conference.

Quinn Magiera faced the Duck's top opponents at first singles, and put up a strong fight, only losing the match 8-5. In the second doubles spot
Jacob Zarzycki and
Adam Moran were defeated in straight sets, 8-0, but in the third spot
Dustin McCullough and
Jonathan Harper would only fall 8-3.
Stevens swept in singles play, with Kulawiec stepping up at first singles where he lost his match 6-3, 6-0. In the second flight, Magiera would be defeated 6-3, 6-1. Zarzycki would be taken down 6-1, 6-3, and in the fourth flight
John Miller was defeated 6-1, 6-0.
Jarrett Pelton and McCullough rounded out the two final singles spots, losing 6-0, 6-0, and 6-2, 6-0, respectively.
The Cardinals will compete next at 4 p.m. on Friday when they take on the Pioneers of Utica College at home.
