The Cardinals added another run in the bottom of the second inning when Prince hit a sacrifice fly into center that Katie Mazierski who had singled earlier in the inning.

After a scoreless top of the third, the Cardinals blew the game wide open in the home half of the frame with five more runs on three hits including a two-run double by Danielle Ventrone to take an 11-1 lead.  Fisher sent eight batters to the dish in the inning and was aided by two Thiel errors.

Fisher continued to pound Tomcat pitching with two more runs in the fourth inning on the strength of RBI knocks from Montemayor and Marissa Kirker to give Fisher a 13-run advantage, 14-1.
Thiel plated a pair of runs in the fifth inning, but the damage had been done as Allison Uberty came in for the final three outs in a 14-3 win.

Monica Moses (2-0) started in the circle for Fisher and earned her second win of the young season.  Moses went 4.0 innings and allowed one run on four hits while striking out a pair.

In all, Fisher collected 12 RBI on 13 hits with Grosvenor going 3-for-3 at the plate with three runs scored and two runs batted in.

FISHER 10, W.P.I. 0

After a scoreless first inning of play, Fisher got on the board with a pair of hits in the top of the second.  Ventrone singled through the left side and worked her way to second after the WPI leftfielder misplayed the ball.  Savas stepped to the dish and boomed a triple to deep centerfield that drove in a run before the Engineers escaped any further trouble.

The Cardinals plated another run in the top of the third inning.  Mazierski and Prince led off the frame with back-to-back singles to put two on with no outs.  Mazierski moved to third on a fly ball out and eventually came around to score when Karlie Neale grounded out to the right side of the infield.

Head coach Bari Mance's team continued to produce in the fourth inning with two more runs on one hit and an Engineers' error to take a 4-0 lead.  The big blow came off the bat of Sortisio as the sophomore laced a two-run single up the middle that plated Savas and Ventrone.

The scoring trend continued for the Cardinals in the top of the fifth with another run on three hits.  Sarah Kubik led off with a single through the left side and gave Fisher a 5-0 lead after scoring on a Ventrone single to center before the Cardinals went on to plate another run in the sixth with Prince picking up an RBI in the process.

The Cardinals tacked on four more runs in the top of the seventh to take a 10-0 lead with Mazierski, Savas and Sortisio each coming up with RBI hits in the inning.
