The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team was defeated by the Red Dragons of SUNY Oneonta at home on Friday in a non-conference matchup.
The Cardinals lost 8-1 with the sole win for Fisher coming in first singles when
Kevin Kulawiec defeated his opponent 7-6, 6-4.
The closest doubles match came in the fourth flight when John Harper and
Dustin McCullough lost on a tiebreaker, 8-7. In first doubles, Kulawiec and
Jacob Zarzycki fell 8-3, and in the second spot
Adam Moran and
John Miller lost 8-4.
In second singles, Zarzycki was defeated 6-3, 6-3, while in the third flight Miller would be defeated 6-1, 6-4. Fourth singles would be played by
Jarrett Pelton, who lost 6-1, 6-4, and in the fifth spot was McCullough who would lose 7-5, 6-0.
Fisher will return to action on at 1 p.m. on March 25th when it takes on Oswego State at home.
