The St. John Fisher College men's soccer team earned its first win of the season, as the Cardinals came through with a 3-1 win over host Hobart College on Tuesday.

With the win, Fisher improves to 1-2 on the year. It is the first time since 2004 that Fisher has defeated Hobart in men's soccer, snapping an 11-game losing streak to the Statesmen.
Fisher took a 1-0 lead in the 14
th minute off a goal from
Tyler Randall.

It would stay that score until 12 minutes left in the game.  Fisher pushed its lead to 2-0 with
Jeff Meyers scoring off a rebound on a shot from
Thomas Goetze.

Hobart would pulled back to within a goal just 32 second later, but Fisher sealed the win with less than 80 seconds left. Â
Glenn Roschetzky crossed the ball from the side to Meyers, who drilled it into an empty net for this second goal of the game to seal the win.

Joe Catalfamo stopped five shots to earn the win in net.
Fisher will return to action at 7 p.m. on Friday and will host St. Lawrence University.
