The Cardinals rebounded in the second match, sweeping the Knights in three competitive sets. In the first, Fisher opened up with a pair of six-point runs that gave the team an early 14-3 lead in which it never looked back. The second set came a little tougher with Neumann forcing extra points but Marcy was able to seal it with the final kill. The Cardinals completed the shutout in the third due in part to a seven-point service run by Kane during the middle of the set.
Leading the way offensively was Marcy, whose 20 kills set a new career high.
On defense, Mazierski picked up another ten digs to lead the Cardinals.
Elise Kreuz also helped out, tacking on seven of her own.
Resuming her role of setter was Kane, as she helped on 34 Cardinal points.
Fisher will return to action at 12 p.m. on Saturday as it takes on host Pomona-Pitzer. The team will then square off against Whittier College directly after the conclusion of its first match.
