The St. John Fisher College field hockey program won its Empire 8 Conference season opener on Saturday, as the Cardinals came away with a 1-0 win over host Utica College.
Fisher (3-2 overall) out-shot the Pioneers 28-5, but couldn't find the back of the cage until the final eight minutes. With 7:55 remaining,
