The St. John Fisher College softball team swept Aurora University in its final double header of its spring break trip in Clermont, FL.

Lindsey Thayer struck out 11 of 24 batters faced, only allowing three hits.
Fisher would not put runs on the board until the fourth inning when
Kristina Balsano singled, advancing
Sarah Kubik to home plate for the first score of the game.
In the next inning, the final scoring play would come on a walk, forcing Jennifer Knaack to score.
Knaack led the team going 3-for-4 scoring one run, while
Julia Sortisio went 2-for-3.
Fisher 10, Aurora 2The Cardinals managed a staggering 14 hits in the second game against Aurora, with five players having reached two hits.
Coming off the 2-0 win in the first game, Fisher scored seven runs in the first inning off four hits to set the tone for the second victory.
Another single from
Karlie Neale put Fisher up to an 8-point lead in just the second inning.
Aurora would score in the second and fourth innings, but could not overcome the powerful hitting from Fisher, and the game would end in the fifth inning.
The Cardinals return to Rochester next week and will play the University of Pitt-Bradford in Bradford, PA, at 1 p.m. on March 19
th.
