The St. John Fisher College men's basketball program went on a 12-0 run at the end of the first half to take 41-30 lead at the break and pulled away over the final 20 minutes, as the Cardinals posted a 94-68 win over visiting Utica College on Monday night.
With the win, Fisher improves to 13-5 overall and 7-2 in the Empire 8 Conference, while Utica falls to 5-13, 2-8.Â
Five players finished in double figures for the Cardinals, who are 7-0 on the year at home.Â
Utica jumped out to an 8-1 lead over the first three minutes, but Fisher came storming back and took its first lead at 15-11 after back-to-back 3-pointers from
Tyler Farrell.
The Pioneers hung tough early on, thanks to Robert Tutein, who scored 14 straight points in the opening half and gave Utica a 30-29 lead with 3:56 left.
Fisher, however, kept the Pioneers scoreless after that, using the 12-0 run to take the lead for good.
Fisher pulled away midway the second half.   With the Cardinals up 60-46 with 12:34 left, Fisher went on a 14-0 run over the next four minutes to push its lead to 28.
Senior
Tyler Hart started the run, hitting his fourth 3-pointer of the half, while
Keegan Ryan, who tallied his 25
th career double-double scored five points during the spurt.

Hart led Fisher with 19 points, including 15 in the second half on five 3-pointers.  He also dished out a team-high five assists.  Ryan totaled 17 points, 12 rebounds and three assists.

Tyler English and Farrell both totaled 12 points. Farrell also snagged six boards and blocked two shots.
Ryan Henderson shot 4-for-5 from the floor, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range, and finished with 10 points. Â
Jake Haight totaled seven points and seven rebounds in 14 minutes of action. Â
Alex Sausville chipped in with eight points, while
Dan Vaulman hit a 3-pointer, marking his first collegiate points.
Fisher will return to action at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Ithaca College.
