The St. John Fisher College women's basketball program dropped a 72-49 decision to visiting University of Rochester on Friday night in the second game of the Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout.

With the loss, Fisher falls to 2-4 overall, while the Yellowjackets, ranked 11
th in the latest D3hoops.com national poll, improves to 5-1.

Fisher took an early 8-7 lead on a jumper from
Nicole Robinson midway through the first quarter, but Rochester with a 3-pointer on the ensuing possession to take the lead for good and led 16-10 after the opening period.
Freshman
Chelsea Repard's driving layup with 4:47 left in the half kept Fisher within six points at 22-16, but Rochester rattled off 10-straight points to take its biggest lead of the half, doubling up the Cardinals, 32-16.  Fisher closed the game with two 3-pointers from
Caroline Robertson and
Erin Hulbert to make it 32-22 at the half.

Both teams traded baskets throughout the third quarter with Rochester leading 48-36 going into the fourth.
Robinson scored the first four points of the final period, making it 51-40 with 7:58 remaining, but the Yellowjackets used an 8-0 spurt off an 80-second span to take a 19-point lead and held on for the win.
For Fisher, junior
Jessica Rhone tallied her first double-double, notching 11 points, 10 rebounds and team-high three steals. Robertson led the Cardinals in scoring with 14 points, while Robinson added eight points and two blocked shots.
Fisher will return to action at 8 p.m. on Saturday and will host Rochester Institute of Technology in the final game of the Mark's Shootout.
