The St. John Fisher College men's basketball team opened up its 2016-17 campaign with a 100-75 victory over SUNY Poly on Tuesday evening. This is fifth time in the last six years that the Cardinals have been victorious in their first game of the season.
Keegan Ryan scored 15 points in both halves to finish with a career-high 30 points. He also snagged 13 rebounds to record his 31st career double-double.  Junior guard
Alex Sausville scored 22 of his career-high 29 points in the first half, as the Cardinals raced out to a 51-34 lead at the half.
Tyler English finished with 10 points and led the Cardinals with four assists, while senior
Michael D'Amico made his Fisher deput, scoring 12 points.
Fisher will be back in action at 4 p.m. on Saturday as the team opens up play on Bobby Wanzer Court against the Hobart College Statesmen.
