The St. John Fisher College men's soccer team lost 2-1 to the Bombers of Ithaca College on Saturday in a game dedicated to the seniors of the program.
The College would like to thank
Thomas Goetze,
Aaren Harrington,
AJ Klemczak, and
Terry Pavlick for all their hard work and dedication to the program throughout their careers.
Fisher struck first as
Jeff Meyers launched a shot over the goalkeeper on a fast break eight minutes into the match. However Ithaca would answer, also netting a fast break goal 18 minutes later.
The Bombers would score once more before half after a deflected shot was collected by a member of Ithaca's offense and put past Fisher goaltender
Joe Catalfamo.
Ithaca took a long shot in the final minute, but Catalfamo made an excellent jumping save, knocking the ball down just below the crossbar. He finished with four saves.
The Cardinals return to action on November 4
th for the Empire 8 Conference tournament, in which they secured a fourth seed.
