The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team fell 2-0 to No. 7 Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J. Saturday afternoon. With the loss, Fisher moves to 2-5-1 on the season and 1-2-0 in the conference. Stevens remains unbeaten at 9-0-0 (3-0-0 E8).
Taryn Guinta provided a majority of the Cardinals offense, registering two of Fisher's four total shots. The senior almost notched a goal in the waning minutes off a corner kick but was robbed by the Stevens goalie.
Garbriella Cotugno finished the game with 13 saves, tying a season high.
Fisher will return to the pitch at 7:30 p.m. Â on Tuesday as the team squares off against city-rival University of Rochester.
