Baseball Drops Pair To Keystone

The St. John Fisher College baseball squad dropped a pair of contests to Keystone College Sunday, falling 7-4 in game one before dropping the nightcap, 5-3 in La Plume, PA.

With the pair of losses, Fisher falls to 6-10 on the season while Keystone improves to 9-4.

Fisher 4, Keystone 7

Scott Eisenmenger singled down the left field line in the second inning to score Mike Roman and bring the Cardinals to within 2-1.

Fisher tied the score at 2 in the top of the third on a sacrifice fly from Jack Trotman.

The Giants got two runs back in the bottom half of the third inning to take a 4-2 lead before Joe Simmons singled to score Roman.

Trailing 7-3 in the final frame, Shane Barley picked up a sacrifice fly for the final run of the game.

Terry Engels earned the loss to fall to 2-3 on the season.

Fisher 3, Keystone 5

Fisher got on the scoreboard first in the nightcap with an RBI triple from Cody Wiktorski who brought home Calvin Woolhiser in the top of the second.

The Giants evened the game in the bottom half, and pushed their lead to 4-1 after five innings.

Eisenmenger picked up his second RBI single of the day in the sixth inning to score Barley.

After Keystone got back a run, Tom Kline drew Fisher to within 5-3 in the seventh inning but that is as close as Fisher would come.

Marc Iseneker moves to 0-3 on the season with the loss.

Fisher returns to action at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the University of Rochester.
