In a rematch of last year's Empire 8 Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship, host Ithaca College rallied in the second half for a 12-5 win over visiting St. John Fisher College on Wednesday.

With the loss, Fisher falls to 4-3 overall and 0-1 in the Empire 8, while the Bombers improve to 7-2, 3-0.

Fisher trailed 2-0 after the opening quarter, but the Cardinals tied it up by halftime.

Gary Bova scored in the opening minute of the second quarter and assisted on a goal from
Tim Wagner just two minutes later to tie the game up at 2s.
Ithaca scored the first two goals of the third quarter to take a 4-2 lead, but Fisher would answer with a goal from
Nick Costello with
Andrew Rosso assisting midway through the third.
The Bombers would score the next three goals to take a 7-3 lead going into the final quarter and added five straight in the fourth quarter to pull away.

Tanner Swan stopped 13 shots in goal for Fisher.Â
Paul Cefalu and
Ricky Hahn led the Cardinals with four ground balls.

Wagner led Fisher with three points on two goals and one assist, while Bova and Costello each tallied two points on one goal and one assist.
Dante Giordano also scored in the win.

Fisher returns to action at 2 p.m. on Saturday and will host Hartwick College.
