The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College women's lacrosse team earned its fourth win on the year with a 14-9 victory over host Buffalo State College on Saturday.

Fisher, ranked No. 17 in the latest coaches poll, faced a tied game at 1s, 2s and 5s with 5:46 left in the first half.

The Cardinals took off at that point with two goals from
Lindsey Shoales in less than 30 seconds to lead 7-5 at halftime.

Fisher continued to score goals, tallying five straight in about five minutes of the second half.

Three players –
Jordan Johnson,
Samantha Barton and Shoales – notched a trio of goals. Four other Cardinals recorded tallies to pace the offense.

Nicole Hart made nine saves in the win to improve to 3-1 in goal.

Fisher returns to action at 3 p.m. Saturday when the Cardinals host Ithaca College in both teams' Empire 8 opener.
