The St. John Fisher College men's lacrosse team dropped its first game of the season, falling 14-0 to host Clarkson University on Saturday.

With the loss, Fisher falls to 3-1 on the season while Clarkson improves to 2-1.

The Golden Knights outshot Fisher 33-17 in the game and received strong goalie play from Nick Strandholm who made seven saves in over 50 minutes of action.

Clarkson managed to take a 2-0 lead after the first quarter and increased its lead to 5-0 at the half.

The Golden Knights erupted for six goals in the third quarter, including one on the man-up opportunity to open up the game to 11-0.

Fisher was not able to find the back of net in the final frame and Clarkson tallied three more goals to cap the victory.

Tanner Swan made seven saves in 45 minutes of action, while Zach Knight and Justin Townsend each saw time in between the pipes.

Paul Cefalu went 9-16 from the faceoff circle and led Fisher with six groundballs.
