The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team fell 3-1 to host Hartwick College on Saturday in Empire 8 Conference action.
Following the loss, the Cardinals drop to 4-6-1 overall and 1-2 in Empire 8 play, while Hartwick improves to 8-1, 2-0.
Fisher fell behind early in the first half as the Hawks tallied two goals by the 12th minute. Another Hartwick goal in the 25th minute left the Cardinals trailing 3-0 at halftime.
In the second half, Fisher pushed back as
Carly Finn tallied her third goal of the season in the 47th minute. The score was unassisted.
Sarah O'Brien made the start in net for the Cardinals and made three saves after facing nine shots. The freshman is now 2-3 on the season.
Fisher returns to action at 12 p.m. next Saturday when it hosts Empire 8 opponent Stevens Institute of Technology.
