The St. John Fisher College men's soccer team won 1-0 over Empire 8 rival Nazareth College on Saturday at Growney Stadium.
With the win, the Fisher moves to 3-11 overall and 2-4 in Empire 8 games on the season while Nazareth drops to 0-14-1 overall and 0-5-1 in conference action.
In the first half the Cardinals and the Golden Flyers battled to a scoreless tie at halftime as Fisher out-shot Nazareth 12-2 in the half.
Tyler Randall came through for the Cardinals in the second half, scoring the game's lone goal in the 61
st minute to give Fisher the 1-0 victory. The goal marks Randall's second of the season.
Joseph Catalfamo started in goal for the Cardinals and posted his second shutout of the season.
Fisher returns to the fold at 7 p.m. on Wednesday as they take on host SUNY Geneseo in a non-conference matchup.
