The St. John Fisher College volleyball team won its first Empire 8 Conference match of the season, as the Cardinals picked up a 3-0 win over host Hartwick College on Saturday afternoon.   Earlier in the day, Fisher dropped a 3-0 decision to Ithaca College in Oneonta.  Fisher is now 5-10 overall, and 1-1 in the Empir e8.

Freshman Madison Karwas led the Cardinals with nine kills, while Megan Miller and Anna Marcy added seven kills.  Erica Stickler totaled 19 assists, while Erin Crandall talled 10 digs.

Fisher 3, Hartwick 0

Madison Karwas recorded a double-double, finishing wieht 10 kills and 10 digs.   Katie Mazierski collected a career-high 23 digs, while Paige Willson and Anna Marcy each finished with nine kills.   Erica Stickler (19) and Brooke Meader (17) combined for 36 assists.
