The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team improved to 2-2 in the Empire 8 Conference, as the Cardinals earned a 7-2 win over host Elmira College on Sunday.
 
Fisher won all three doubles matches to take the early lead.  Pat McGrath and Sheldon Mitchell won 8-4 at first doubles, while Nathaniel Ligon and Jacob Zarzycki earned an 8-6 win at second doubles.   Adam Moran and Daniel Tedesco won 8-3 at third doubles.
 
McGrath rallied for a 4-6, 6-2, 7-6(3) win at first singles, while Tedesco also battled back to win sixth singles 4-6, 6-1, 12-10.
 
Ligon (third singles) and Zarzycki (fourth singles) also earned points for the Cardinals.
 
Fisher (5-8 overall) returns to action on Wednesday at Houghton College.
