The St. John Fisher College volleyball team fell to 9-14 on the year and 2-4 in the Empire 8 Conference with a 3-1 loss to host Houghton College on Wednesday night. After losing the opening set 26-24, Fisher trailed 2-0 after two games. The Cardinals bounced back for a 25-20 win in the third, but the Highlanders rallied from an early deficit for a 25-20 win in the fourth and final set.
Freshman
Madison Karwas led her team with a career-high 18 kills.
Megan Miller finished with 11 kills, while freshman
Anna Marcy added 10.
Brooke Meader dished out a team-high 31 assists, while
Erica Stickler finished with 11.
Erin Crandall totaled 20 digs, while freshman
Katie Mazierski finished with 17. Marcy and Karwas both added eight digs apiece.
Paige Willson led her team with four blocks, while freshman
Amanda Miller finished with three.
Fisher returns to action one week from today at SUNY Brockport.
