The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College football team (2-0) will host SUNY Cortland at 4 p.m Saturday as part of Homecoming Weekend. Fisher will wear its new all-white uniforms and fans are encouraged to wear white as well to take part in the "White-Out."
The No. 18 Cardinals are coming off a bye week with their last game being a 42-21 victory over Washington & Jefferson two weeks ago at Growney Stadium. Quarterback
Tyler Fenti set the Fisher single-game passing record, throwing for 453 yards and four touchdowns. Senior running back
Cody Miller rushed for 202 yards in the win as well.
Meanwhile, Cortland, the reigning NJAC champions, improved to 1-1 last week with a 26-15 win over William Patterson. Junior quarterback Tyler Hughes rushed for 203 yards and two touchdowns.
Saturday's matchup will mark the first time since 1991 that Fisher and Cortland have squared off in the regular season. The Red Dragons won that game, the first game for head coach
Paul Vosburgh, 71-0.
