The St, John Fisher College volleyball team rebounded from an opening match loss to Kean University, defeating Baruch College in four sets 25-17, 20-25, 25-20 and 25-19. Fisher fell in the opening match in three sets to Kean University, 25-19, 25-9, 25-16.

Fisher started slow in the first two sets falling behind but the Cardinals were able to gain some momentum in the third set.
Erica Stickler had two aces in the first four points and Fisher jumped out to a 4-0 lead. Fisher kept the set close for awhile before the Cougars took command at the end of the set to secure the victory.
Senior Rachael Kline led the way with eight kills for a .333 hitting percentage. Stickler had nine assists for the Cardinals.

In the second match of the day Fisher battled back and forth with Baruch College in the first set. With Fisher leading 16-14, the Cardinals erupted for 9 of the last 12 points of the set to win 25-17.
After Baruch took the second set, Fisher stormed back in the third set to win 25-20.
In the final set with the Cardinals leading 18-17, Stickler recorded three kills down the stretch to propel Fisher to the 25-19 win.
Megan Miller and Rachael Kline combined for 33 kills, with 19 and 14 respectively. Stickler dished out 41 assists in the match.
Fisher is now 12-13 overall on the season.
Fisher will return to action at 7 p.m. Wednesday when it will host Oswego State University.
