The St. John Fisher College volleyball team dropped two matches at the Bomber Invitational on Friday, losing to
Widener University 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-21) in game one and
Union College 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-22) in game two of the day.
Andrea Gillespie led the Cardinals with 25 digs through the two games, including 16 against Widener.
Rachael Kline had six blocks (three solo, three assisted) and
Mandi Mereness totaled a team-high five kills against Union.
Freshman
Erica Stickler was the main setter for the Cardinals in the first game of the day, accumulating 10 during the match. Jenny Plotzker was just behind her in that game, with nine, while she also had a team-high 11 against Union.
The Cardinals will return to action at 10 a.m. on Saturday when they face Cabrini College in the final round of the Invitational.
