Field Hockey Gives Up Two Late Goals in Loss to Brockport

BOX SCORE

The St. John Fisher College field hockey team played even for most of the game with visiting The College at Brockport before the Golden Eagles scored two goals late to take the shutout victory on Wednesday afternoon at Growney Stadium. With the loss, Fisher falls to 0-3 on the season while Brockport moves to 2-1.

Liz Baldwin had three shot attempts while Elizabeth Cusack had two of her own, but neither could find pay dirt. Danielle Famolaro played all 70 minutes in goal for the Cardinals, stopping three shots.

Madison Buckley scored the first goal of the game with under 13 minutes remaining in regulation on a pass from Jackie Massoni. Danielle Henck scored the other Golden Eagles' goal almost exactly eight minutes later, this time with Buckley serving as the passer.

Fisher will return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday against Susquehanna University at Growney Stadium. The Cardinals earned the program's first victory in history against Susquehanna in 2011, the team's inaugural year.
