The St. John Fisher College volleyball team defeated Utica College 3-0 (25-13,25-19,25-17) on Wednesday night at Manning & Napier Varsity Gymnasium. With the win, Fisher moves to 3-12 on the season, but more importantly, improves to 2-1 in the Empire 8 Conference.

Megan Miller led all players with 16 kills and six service aces for the Cardinals. Andrea Gillespie led both teams with 18 digs, while Rachael Kline had a second-best in both digs (12) and kills (7).

Paige Willson had three blocks assists while Mandi Mereness had a solo block and an assist.

Fisher will return to action at 10 a.m. on Saturday when it travels down East Avenue to face its rival Nazareth College.
