The St. John Fisher College volleyball team went 1-1 on Friday night in its first two matches at the Empire 8 Conference Crossover Tournament.

The Cardinals dropped a 3-0 decision to Elmira College, but bounced back to beat host Alfred University 3-0 later in the evening.
 
Megan Miller led the Cardinals with 17 kills and 15 digs in the win over the Saxons, while Andrea Gillespie added 17 digs.
In the match vs. Elmira, Miller and Gillespie combined for 25 digs.
Fisher (2-10, 1-1 Empire 8) will play Houghton on Saturday.
