The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team fell to 3-2 in the Empire 8 Conference
with a 6-3 loss to Nazareth College on Wednesday at the Mendon Racquet and Pool Club.
Fisher's
Tom Quinzi and
Pat McGrath earned Fisher's lone point in doubles play with a 6-3 win at third doubles.
Sheldon Mitchell picked up a point with a 6-3, 6-1 win at fifth singles, while
Chris Maley won 6-4, 6-1 at sixth singles.
Fisher (4-8, 3-2) return to action at 3:30 p.m. today and will host Alfred University (8-5, 1-2) at Mendon Racquet Club in a pivotal Empire 8 Conference matchup.
A Fisher-win would make the Cardinals a virtual lock for the Empire 8 Conference Championship.
