The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision at Stevens Institute on Saturday. With the loss, Fisher is now 1-8 on the season, while Stevens improves to 3-3 on the year.
Fisher's lone win came from Pat McGrath at sixth singles, winning by a 6-3, 3-6, 10-8 score.
Chris Maley fought a tough battle at fifth singles, but ultimately lost in a second set tie break by a 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) decision.
In doubles play, the duo of Tom Quinzi and McGrath lost 8-6, while John Whelehan and Maley fell 8-4 in their match-up.
Fisher will look for its second win of the season at 4 p.m. on Tuesday when it travels to Elmira College.
