The St. John Fisher College men's basketball team
suffered a 69-58 loss to host Hartwick College on Sunday in the Empire 8 Conference Championship.
With the loss, Fisher finishes the season with a 15-12 overall record. It is the 20th consecutive postseason appearance for the Cardinals and the program's 24th consecutive season with a record of .500 or better.
Fisher led 13-12 with 12:26 left in the first, but the Cardinals went cold and trailed 35-22 at the break. Fisher shot just 23% from the floor in the first half, while the Hawks shot 52% and made seven 3-pointers.
The Cardinals opened the second half with a 9-2 run and trimmed the lead to six points, but never got any closer.
Freshman Brent Harder led the Cardinals with 16 points, while Jason Norsen tallied 14 points, nine boards and three blocks.
