The St. John Fisher College men's basketball team never trailed the Saxons,
cruising to a 68-46 victory at host Alfred tonight.
With the win, the Cardinals improve to 12-7 overall and 8-2 in Empire 8 contests.
Jordan Gettings opened scoring with a good lay-up 1:26 into play in the first half and the Cardinals never looked back, pushing their lead to as much as a 24-point lead with 2:54 left in the contest.
Gettings led Fisher with 13 points, while
Jordan Koch chipped in with 12 points and
Brandon Witte and
Jason Norsen each added 10.
Justin Plata dominated the glass for Fisher, pulling down seven boards, and tacking on eight points.
Fisher returns to action in a double-header weekend at home as the Cardinals host Hartwick Friday evening at 8 p.m. before facing off against Stevens at 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
