With a split on day two of the RIT Tournament, the Cardinals placed in fifth overall, with senior
Sydney Kandefer earned All-Tournament team honors.
In this morning's match vs. RIT, Fisher lost in three close games, dropping the first game 25-21, the follow up 27-25, and the final 25-20.
In the
nightcap against Brockport, Fisher turned around to earn a 3-1 win, but not easily. Fisher took the first game 25-21 before dropping the second 28-26. After winning the third game 25-22, the Cardinals battled to a 28-26 win in the fourth.
Kandefer averaged 3.57 kills per game during the tournament, while adding 11 blocks.
Becca Smith tallied 3.00 kills per game while leading the team with 59 digs on the weekend (4.21 pg).
The Cardinals return to action Tuesday night against Medaille College in their first home match of the year, a 7 p.m. start at Manning & Napier Varsity Gym.
