The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team improved to 5-11 with a sweep of visiting Oswego,
defeating the Lakers 9-0.
Matt Aquino had the deciding match for the Cardinals, defeating Tom Loughrey 6-1, 6-0.
Fisher opened the match with three doubles points, dropping only a total of eight games in three matches. The top three singles for the Cardinals, including Aquino,
John Whelehan, and
Greg Duffy, each won by the same score of 6-1, 6-0.
Dan Parshall earned a 6-2, 6-0 win over Ben Noonan at fourth singles, while
Chris Maley earned a 6-3, 6-1 win at fifth singles. Freshman
Tom Quinzi ended the match with a 6-4, 6-4 win at sixth singles.
The Cardinals return to action as they host Empire 8 rival R.I.T. at the Fisher Courts tomorrow at 3:30 p.m.
