The St. John Fisher College women's lacrosse found the back of the net 20 times today,
as the Cardinals picked up a 20-9 win over visiting Hartwick College.
With the win, Fisher improves to 3-9 overall and 2-3 in the Empire 8 Conference, while Hartwick falls to 1-10, 0-7.
The Cardinals scored six straight goals in the opening 10 minutes and never looked back.
Trish Scudder and Courtney Clare each tallied five of their career-high seven points in the first half. Scudder scored a career-high six goals and added an assist, while Clare chipped in with four goals and three assists.
Jackie Maynard finished with a career-high six points on two goals and four assists, while Lauren Glavin totaled four points on two goals and two assists.
Meg Merriam (two goals, one assist) and Ashley Fenyn (one goal, two assists) each tallied three points, while Mary Stimson scored twice.
Whitney Mirabito scored a goal, while Kristen Zylka picked up an assist. Senior goalie Vicki Sahm stopped 13 shots in her third win of the year.
Fisher will return to action at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Rochester Institute of Technology. The Cardinals must defeat the Tigers to have a chance at earning one of four spots in the Empire 8 Conference Championship.
