The Cardinals put up a strong fight, but it wasn't enough as the Golden Flyers narrowly outlasted Fisher in a five-game duel (25-15, 24-26, 25-18, 25-27,  15-13) on Wednesday night on the neighboring rival's home court.

Sydney Kandefer led the Cardinals with a team-best 13 kills, while Amy Street added 38 assists.  Jenna Rath, Liz Patrone, and Becca Smith each picked up double-digit digs (17, 10, and 18, respectively).

The Cardinals, now 12-10 overall, return to play tomorrow night as they travel to Brockport for another non-conference match beginning at 7 p.m.
