After dropping both matches on day one of the second Empire 8 Crossover yesterday, Fisher rebounded on day two
with a 3-0 win over Hartwick followed by
a five-set win over cross-town rival RIT.
Fisher earned the straight-set win with scores of 25-12, 26-24, and 25-15.
Amy Street tallied 30 assists and led the squad with 10 digs, while
Becca Smith matched the 10 digs and added a team-best 11 kills.
In the nightcap, Fisher narrowly outplayed the Tigers, earning the five-game win with scores of 25-16, 25-22, 23-25, 11-25, 15-13.
Fisher wrapped up Empire 8 play with an even 4-4 record, unfortunately not enough to push the Cardinals into the postseason.
The Cardinals, now 18-13 overall, return to play at Fredonia on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.
