The St. John Fisher College volleyball team earned consecutive wins in day two of play at the Oneonta State Invitational to complete a 4-0 weekend of play.
In this morning's first match,
a 3-1 win over Skidmore, Fisher dropped the first game 25-22, but turned it around to win the next three games 25-22, 25-18, 25-21.
Sydney Kandefer and
Becca Smith each tallied 13 kills, while newcomer
Rachael Kline chipped in with 12.
Amy Street nabbed 47 assists. Six Cardinals recorded double-digit digs in the match, with Smith leading the way with 25.
In the final match of the Invitational, the Cardinals
cruised to a 3-0 win over MCLA, with game scores of 25-19, 25-9, and 25-22. Kandefer recorded 13 kills and added four service aces, while Street chimed in with 37 assists. Newcomers
Stephanie Schreiber also added 10 kills, while Smith picked up 20 digs.
The Cardinals, now 12-9 overall, return to action Wednesday as they travel to Nazareth for a non-conference match at 7 p.m.
