The St. John Fisher College men's basketball team improved to 3-0 in the Empire 8 conference as the Cardinals
handed the hosting Hartwick Hawks a 66-57 defeat this afternoon.
Fisher leapt to a six-point lead in the first three minutes, and never lost it. After taking a 33-17 lead into the half, the Cardinals couldn't be caught. The Hawks brought it within five points with less than three minutes remaining, but couldn't quite catch up.
Junior
Jordan Koch tied a team-best 18 points, shooting 5-for-9 from the floor and a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe.
Connor Henderson chipped in with a career-high 18 points and tied a team-best nine rebounds.
Jordan Gettings shot 5-for-9 from the floor and 4-6 from the line for 14 points.
Fisher improved their lead in the all-time series between the two schools, 29-4. Fisher is now 7-2 overall.
The Cardinals return to action when they continue their streak of ten games over a 19-day period on Tuesday. Fisher takes on host Alfred University at 8 p.m.
