Fisher, who scored the most goals in a single game in the program's eight-year history, took a 1-0 lead just 1:01 into the game on a goal from
Dave Malone with
Matt Kaiser picking up the assist.
Malone led Fisher on the day with four goals and two assists for six points, while Kaiser added five points on two goals and three assists.
Chris Schmidt tallied four goals, while
Ryan Schmidt added three goals. Junior
Scott Bowen came through with a four-point day on one goal and two assists, as did freshman
Kyle Denhoff, who registered four points on two goals and two assists in his collegiate debut. Fellow freshman
Kory Smart totaled three points on two goals and one assist.
Senior All-American
Dave Wood won 13-of-15 face-offs and led the Cardinals with 11 ground balls.
Jeff Price scored two goals, while first-year players
Aaron Gregory and
Kyle Hayward each picked up an assist, marking their first career points at Fisher.
Fisher will return to action at 4 p.m. on Tuesday and will host SUNY Oswego.
