Volleyball Wins In Straight Games Over Hilbert and Cazenovia

The St. John Fisher College volleyball team went 2-0 on Saturday, winning both games of its tri-matches. The Cardinals defeated Hilbert College 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-13) in their first match and posted a 3-0 win over Cazenovia College (25-17,25-13, 25-16) later in the day.

In the Hilbert match, Becca Smith tallied nine kills, while Sydney Kandefer added seven more. Kandefer also finished with four aces, as did Brittany Rowan. Jenna Waldon led Fisher with seven digs.

In the win over Cazenovia, Smith and Kandefer each recorded nine kills, while Laura Schwach added eight. Setter Elaina Braun led Fisher (10-16) with 19 kills.

Fisher will return to action at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Medaille College.
