The St. John Fisher College volleyball team is 2-0 after the first day of the Empire 8 Conference Crossover Tournament.  The tournament is in Hoboken, N.J. and is being hosted by Stevens Institute of Technology.
In Fisher's first day, the Cardinals knocked off R.I.T. 3-1.  Sydney Kandefer and Alyssa Ziobrowkski each finished with 11 kills, while Jenna Waldron tallied 28 digs.  The Tigers went to the NCAA Championship last fall.

In Fisher's second match of the evening, the Cardinals came through with a 3-0 win over Utica.

Fisher will return to action at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday and will face host Stevens.  The match can be watched on-line (no-charge) at http://www.empire8.tv 

Fisher will also play Ithaca later in the day.
