Volleyball Sinks SUNY Oswego's Lakers

The St. John Fisher College volleyball team recorded a 3-0 win (25-22, 27-25, 25-15) over SUNY Oswego on Tuesday night.
            
Michelle Lesser (two kills) and Savannah Forell (one kill) each recorded their first collegiate kills in the win, while sophomore Sydney Kandefer led the Cardinals with nine kills.
            
Freshman standout Becca Smith recorded an impressive six aces, with Elaina Braun dishing out 19 assists. Jenna Waldron (18 digs) and Alyssa Ziobrowski (13 digs) combined for 31 digs to lead the Cardinals.
            
Fisher (7-5 overall) will travel down East Avenue to take on local-and-Empire 8 Conference-rival Nazareth College in the Cardinals' first E8 game of the season at 7 p.m. tomorrow night.
