Season Ends For Men's Basketball With Loss at Brockport

Fourth-seeded St. John Fisher College had it season end on Saturday, as the Cardinals dropped an 81-80 decision to No. 1 SUNY Brockport in the semifinals of the ECAC Upstate Men's Basketball Championship on Saturday. Fisher, who trailed by 21 points midway through the midway through the first half took its first lead of the game late in the second half and led by as many as four points with 55 seconds left. Sherrod Harris hit a 3-pointer for Brockport with just under 30 seconds left to give Brockport a one-point lead. After a Fisher turnover, Brockport converted two free throws to push the lead to three points. Matt Newman had a tip-in on Fisher's final possession, but it wasn't enough. With the loss, Fisher finishes its season with a 17-12 overall record. Justin Beigel becomes Fisher's all-time leader in games played.
