Nationally-Ranked William Smith Rallies To Beat Fisher in Women's Lax

Lauren Glavin scored four goals in Tuesday's loss to William Smith.
The St. John Fisher College women's lacrosse team dropped an 11-10 decision to 14th-ranked William Smith College on Tuesday at Fisher's Growney Stadium. 
 
William Smith's Sarah Davidson snapped a 10-10 tie with her fourth goal of the game with 3:24 left.
 
Fisher, who scored three goals in a 55-second span in the first 2:09 of the contest, led 6-1, before the Herons fought back.  William Smith (3-0), who trailed 7-4 at intermission, scored the first five goals of the second half and led 9-7 midway through the second half. 
 
After the two teams traded goals, Fisher's Allison Christie scored with 6:15 left to make it 10-9 and Lauren Glavin scored her fourth goal of the game with 3:56 to tie the contest at 10-10.
 
Fisher's Laurie Quackenbush scored two goals and record her 45th career assist on Fisher's first goal, making her the program's all-time leader. Quackenbush already ranks as Fisher's all-time leader in points.
 
Ashley Fenyn finished with one goal and two assists, while Courtney Clare and Jill Lockwood each scored a goal.
 
Vicki Sahm stopped seven shots in goal for the Cardinals.
 
Fisher will return to action on Saturday and will play its first Empire 8 Conference game at Alfred University.
