With the win, Fisher improves to 3-2 in the Empire 8 and 7-7 overall, while Stevens, ranked 15th nationally, falls to 7-2, 12-2.
Fisher, who led by five at intermission, built up a 12-point advantage early into the second half,
but the Ducks trimmed the lead to two points at 51-49 on a 3-pointer at the 7:43 mark.
Fisher, however, responded with a 6-0 run over the next two minutes to take control, highlighted by a traditional three-point play from
Ozell Franklin (Rush-Henrietta/Henrietta).
Forwards
Justin Beigel (Colerain/Cincinnati, OH) and
Chris Baltz (Vestal/Vestal) paced the Cardinals with
13 points each, while Beigel also added eight boards and four assists.
Isaiah Smalt (Campbell Savona/Savona) and
Mike McKeever (Indian River/Philadelphia) tallied 10 points each.
Fisher will return to action next Friday and will host Hartwick College.
