The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team earned its first victory of the season on Thursday night, cruising to an 8-1 decision over the visiting SUNY Oswego Lakers.

Fisher ran the table in doubles competition, posting victories in each of the three matches.  The Cardinals continued their strong play in the singles portion of the match, besting the Lakers in five of the six match ups. 

The Cardinals (1-0) will return to action at 3 p.m. on Saturday to take on visiting SUNY Plattsburgh.
