The St. John Fisher College volleyball team defeated the visiting Bengals of Buffalo State 3-0 (30-8, 30-14, 30-11) on Wednesday night.  Junior Alyssa Ziobrowski (Lewiston-Porter/Lewiston) recorded a team-high 12 kills and six blocks in the match, and also added six digs and two aces.

Freshman Sydney Kandefer (Nardin Academy/Alden) continued her strong play recording seven kills, three digs and six blocks, while junior Jessie Pegler (Churchville-Chili/Rochester) registered a team-leading seven digs.  Setter Hannah Cordes (Cazenovia/Cazenovia) dished out 30 assists.

The Cardinals (5-10, 3-1 Empire 8), who are enjoying a three-match win streak, have won four out their last five matches and will return to action this weekend in the SUNY Oneonta Tournament.
